21st Century Medicine – International Medical Congress for Students and Young Doctors 2022

FAQ

1.     When the conference will take place?

This year 21st Century Medicine will take place from 3 to 4th of June 2022 in facilities of Medical University in Lublin and on Zoom™ or Microsoft Teams™ platform.

 

2.     In which form will the conference take place?

This year 21st Century Medicine will be a hybrid event. It will take place stationary in facilities of Medical University in Lublin, as well as online on Zoom™ or Microsoft Teams™ platform.

 

3.     What is the main topic?

Our conference focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to medicine and new advances in medicine and related fields.

 

4.     Which sessions will be held?

We are planning to held the following sessions:

  1. General Medicine
  2. Surgery
  3. Ginecology and Pediatrics
  4. Neurology and Psychiatry
  5. Psychology
  6. Oncology
  7. Civilization Diseases
  8. COVID-19

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to change or combine sessions depending on the number of submitted papers.

 

5.     When can I register? How?

Registration will open on 14th February 2022. You can register using the links provided on our website.

 

6.     When is the deadline for sending in an abstract?

The registration of abstracts will end on 20th March 2022.

 

7.     What are the guidelines for writing an abstract?

The original papers and review papers consist of 5 parts: Title, Introduction, Material and methods, Results, and Conclusions. Case reports consist of 4 parts: Title, Background, Case Report, and Discussions & Conclusions.

The maximal number of words in the abstract is 300.

The general font for abstract is Times New Romansingle line spacing and 12 font size, justified

 

8.    What is the conference fee?

The conference fees are as stated below:

  • active participant - 100 PLN/22 €
  • active online participant - 70 zł/15€
  • passive participant - free
  • banquet entry - 25 zł/6€

 

9.    In which form can I present my work?

The authors should prepare their presentation in .ppt or .pptx or .pdf file formats. Posters will not be accepted.

 

10.     When is the deadline for sending in a presentation?

The presentations should be sent to the Organizing Committee (21stcenturymedicine@umlub.pl) by 15th May 2021.

 

11.  How much time do I have for my presentation and what time is designed for discussion?

Original papers: The presentation should last no longer than 10 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for discussion.

Review papers: The presentation should last no longer than 7 minutes, followed by 2 minutes for discussion.

Case reports: The presentation should last no longer than 7 minutes, followed by 2 minutes for discussion.

 

12.  Can co-authors present my work?

No, only the first author can present the work. Co-authors can participate in the discussion.  

 

13.  What is the language of the conference?

The official language of the conference is English.

 

14.  How many abstracts can I submit?

The number of submitted papers by each participant is not limited.

 

14.  Will everyone present at the conference will receive a certificate of participation?

Yes, all active participants will receive a certificate of participation, as well as a separate certificate for each of the papers presented. Passive participants will receive a certificate of participation.
